MandelNet Master Troubleshooting The Master reports “Out of memory” when you try to open or create a document. Increase MandelNet Master’s partition size with ‘Get Info…’ in the Finder. This may be neccessary for fractals larger than 640 by 480 pixels. I created a new fractal but only a rough preview is displayed. You don’t have any Slaves connected to the Master, so the real image can’t be calculated. Launch a Slave and connect it to the Master if neccessary. That Drag and Drop feature doesn’t seem to work. You need System 7.5 for Drag and Drop support. You must have another application that is willing to accept the picture (the System 7.5 Finder will do, for example - drop the picture on the desktop and a clipping will be created). Move the mouse over the picture, hold down the Option key (the cursor will turn into a hand) and start the drag. The Master still displays a Slave in the list that terminated a while ago. The Master didn’t notice that the Slave terminated. This may be due to a network error or the Slave may have crashed. Select the Slave in the list and click the ‘Close’ button. MandelNet Slave Troubleshooting The Slave doesn’t do anything after I launched it. This is quite normal. When the Slave doesn’t find a Master on the same machine, it just goes idle. You have to open a connection to the Master by selecting ‘Open Connection…’ from the File menu and locating the Master.
